Quarterly Meeting, Wednesday, April 18th, 7:00pm Senior Center Jefferson Road
Please join us for our quarterly general membership meeting on Wednesday evening, April 18th at the Senior Center on Jefferson Road. Learn what the newly elected Board and committees are up to.
Election News
Our annual meeting was held Wednesday, January 18th at the Senior Center on Jefferson Road. The main purpose of this meeting was to elect new Board members to serve a two year term. Five candidates spoke briefly to the general membership of their love and dedication to the community we all call "Home", before being presented individually to an “up or down” vote by written ballot. Each of the five candidates needed to have a majority of yes votes from the membership present at the meeting. All five candidates passed this test and so will join the continuing Board of Directors.

Ongoing Membership Change
The general membership in attendance at the annual meeting on January 18th unanimously voted in favor of changing from a rolling renewal of memberships to a mass renewal of all memberships to coincide with the 3rd quarterly meeting in July of each year.
Members may, of course, join at any time of the year, but will be due no pro-rated advantage on the $10.00 fee.
This policy was previously enacted by the BoD last spring, but has not been strictly enforced due to Article III section 3 of our bylaws, which the BoD sought to alter by this vote.
The desired effect is to streamline membership concerns and to put our CDC in line with other CDC’s which routinely operate with this model. This change was endorsed by the PHCDC Membership Chair and committee.
Congratulations to Gross's Funeral Home, recipient of the Golden Broom Award for December.
The Golden Broom Award will resume in the Spring.
